The streaming giant is coming in with its six-episode series podcast which will be a scripted side shoot of the post-apocalyptic series Daybreak, and the first scripted podcast by Netflix, as major services are competing in the streaming market.

Lauren Jarvis, the head of content partnerships for Spotify in North America, mentioned in a statement that the series will be a “scripted companion podcast” without steering too far from the original ideas of the main Netflix show, where fans could “to listen to the podcast and dive deeper into the post-apocalyptic world of Daybreak.”

It will be available on Spotify only until December 12, after Apple Podcasts and other platforms start streaming the show as well.
